1. Go ahead, there’s some leftover birthday cake in the kitchen. Please eat it so that it’ll stop screaming to me from inside its little plastic box.

2. The urge to clean: I keep hoping I’ll get that soon!

3. Don’t worry, God’s got this…whatever “this” may be! (Reminder to self...)

4. I have not yet eaten all my calories for the day. So I can, like, splurge on a carrot stick or something. Whee.

5. Pretty much have decided that trying to lose weight when battling PCOS sucks no matter how positively I try to paint it, no matter how I try to call it a “lifestyle change” or gear myself up for what basically amounts to a long period of self-sacrifice — wash, rinse, repeat. I hate the process. Hate it. But I want the result. So there’s no choice but to suck it up and carry on.

6. May the Lord richly bless all the poor souls who journey down this diet path with me, whether they volunteer or are inadvertently dragged along. For I am hungry and cranky and my last nerve is continually exposed.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to chatting with my friends in Uganda, tomorrow my plans include grocery shopping for YUMMY DIET FOOD and Sunday, I want to enjoy church and hopefully come outta there with a better attitude than the one I have tonight! LOL!

1. It’s easy to get busy with life and neglect my poor lil’ ol’ blog!

2. Other people look at them and just see messy, rambunctious, destructive, loud boys, but I consider every one of my sons ” my darling.”

3. Once upon a time, a mom woke up to find her whole house clean, her children well-behaved and a hot, gourmet breakfast served to her in bed. Then her husband handed her the credit card and said, “I have the kids today–enjoy a day just for you!” And she went shopping, and got a pedicure and treated herself to lunch, and met friends for dinner and came home happy and satisfied.

4. But then she woke up to screaming kids, a messy house and cheap coffee for breakfast and realized it was all just a dream … the end. (LOL!)

5. What is it? (That was Eli’s catch-phrase when he was about two. LOL)

6. I’d rather enjoy life sooner than later.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finding some deals at the consignment sale, tomorrow my plans include Zach’s softball game and tons of cleaning and Sunday, I want to rest some, work some, worship a lot!

1. I hold this mouse gingerly and type cautiously, for my carpal tunnel is inflamed.

2. Donnie is someone I like to travel with because he is awesome at fitting into the trunk all the suitcases stuffed with all the crap useful items I pack. Because I pack like my mother—as if we were going on an Arctic expedition, desert trek and swimming fling, all in the course of one week.

3. That day, on vacation, when we were eating dinner and Donnie felt a sudden splash against his leg, and we realized it was because Jonah had fished his winkie out the side of his diaper and shot a pee across to his father—now THAT was funny!

4. Can you believe we’ve already said goodbye to over half of this year???

5. Trust in God alone, because even the best of men will at some point, let you down.

6. Now that we’ve removed his night light, it’s amazing how much better Jonah sleeps in the dark.

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was handmade cards from my kids. So precious!

2. Growing up was easier when I was a child, it was as simple as that.

3. The moon is full and probably does affect people in odd ways. I’ve had my doubts, but teachers, nurses, obstetricians and counselors all say it’s true.

4. A good day for me includes fresh coffee, perfectly-behaved children and adequate sleep. Most days I’m just really thankful for the coffee! (HA!)

5. I was tempted by a milkshake the other night. But I wasn’t hungry, so I refused. Yay me! LOL

6. Sleeping, reading, relaxing, and dining out are some of the things I like to do on vacation.
